New NEBOSH GNC & GIC — Now Easier to Pass Than Ever

Major changes mean more candidates will pass first time — saving you time and money on resits.

🎉 Big Update: Pass Mark for Risk Assessment Now Just 60%

The NEBOSH General National Certificate (GNC) and General International Certificate (GIC) have been updated for 2025. Candidates now only need 60% to pass the practical risk assessment — previously this was 100%, which many found extremely challenging. This means more candidates pass first time, getting qualified faster and without the cost of resits.

Which Course Is Right for You?

GNC vs GIC — Know the Difference Before You Enrol

Work, or plan to work, in a UK-based health & safety role. The GNC covers UK health & safety law specifically, making it the right choice for site managers, supervisors and HSE officers working on UK contracts.
Work internationally, for a multinational company, or plan to relocate abroad. The GIC is based on international best practice rather than UK-specific law, and is recognised in 130+ countries.

What's the difference between the GNC and the GIC?

The GNC (General National Certificate) covers UK health & safety law specifically. The GIC (General International Certificate) is based on international best practice and is recognised in 130+ countries — ideal if you work internationally or for a multinational company.

What changed with the new 60% pass mark?

Previously, candidates needed 100% on the practical risk assessment to pass. This has now been reduced to 60%, making the qualification more achievable while still maintaining high safety standards.

How long does the course take?

Most candidates complete the course in 10-12 days of teaching, either consecutively or spread across evenings and weekends, followed by exams.

Can I study online or do I need to attend in person?

Both options are available. We offer flexible online delivery as well as in-person sessions, so you can choose what fits your schedule and learning style.
