Candidates now only need 60% to pass the practical risk assessment — previously this was 100%, which many found extremely challenging. What's the difference between the GNC and the GIC?
The GNC (General National Certificate) covers UK health & safety law specifically. The GIC (General International Certificate) is based on international best practice and is recognised in 130+ countries — ideal if you work internationally or for a multinational company.
What changed with the new 60% pass mark?
Previously, candidates needed 100% on the practical risk assessment to pass. This has now been reduced to 60%, making the qualification more achievable while still maintaining high safety standards.
How long does the course take?
Most candidates complete the course in 10-12 days of teaching, either consecutively or spread across evenings and weekends, followed by exams.
Can I study online or do I need to attend in person?
Both options are available. We offer flexible online delivery as well as in-person sessions, so you can choose what fits your schedule and learning style.
